Skin lesions
Bullterrier skin diseases
Every breed is different. It may have certain favourite lesions or localization for a skin disease. Or it may have favourite diseases that we see more often than in other breeds. And sometimes it even has unique dermatosis that we meet exclusively in that breed.
For example Bullterrier is prone to atopic dermatitis, that is often complicated by staphylococcal furunculosis, it often has wrong anatomical feet conformation, that leads to interdigital furunculosis, it has so called “dirty nose”and it also has genetic disease we see only in this breed — lethal acrodermatitis.
Bullterrier is a very popular breed with many skin issues — let’s learn more about them!
